3、r,thereisnotmuchresearchonrailwaystationplanning.Inthe1980'sand1990'sresearchfocusedonthe"threedecisions".Theyarelocation,functionandsizeoftherailwaystationarea.Inthe21stcenturysomeplannersdiscussedtherailwaystationareadevelopmentatacitylevel.Westernscho
4、larstakerailwaystationareasaskindofacentralplace.Theyalsoresearchtherelationshipbetweenrailwaystationsandcommercialareasorotherindustrialareas.Economiccirculationformsnewurbanspaces---CirculationSpace,whichincludesCommercialCirculationSpace,LogisticsCirc
5、ulationSpaceandInformationCirculationSpace.AlltheseCirculationSpacesgatheraroundurbanexternalhubsofcommunicationtoformIntegratedMultifunctionCirculationSpace(IMCS).IMCScanbedividedintothreesections:corefunctionsection,attachedfunctionsectionandperipheryf
6、unctionsection.Therearemanyfacilitieswhicharenecessarytorunthecommunicationhubinthecorefunctionsection.Thesefacilitiesvarytoeachdifferentkindofcommunicationhub.Afterresearchingandsummaringmanycases,thispaperhasputacorefunctionsection'sconstructionpattern
7、forrailwaystationIMCS.Theattachedfunctionsectionincludescirculationservicefacilitiesattachedtocorefunction.Thesearebusiness,trade,habitation,tourism,industry,smallwarehouseandotherfacilitieswithinit.ThissectionisthemainpartoftheIMCS.Onlyifitdevelopswellc
8、anthecommunicationhubhavegrowthpoleeffects.Theperipheryfunctionsectionincludesfunctionsthatarecloselyrelatedtotheabovetwosections.Thesectionincludesexhibition,hotel,houses,wholesale,fun,education,logistic,R&S,sportsetc.IMC
