4、tlesson,frequencyeffectsatbothhighandlowfrequenciesareignored,butthesimplifiedanalysisisusefuloverarangeoffrequenciestermedthemid-frequencyband,whichisthefrequencyregionofinterestforgeneral-purposeapplications.GeneralDefinitionsIrrespectiveofthemodeofcon

5、nectionofthetransistor,amplifierpropertiescanbedefinedinageneralmanner.Itisessentialtoobservecorrectlythepolaritiesofvoltagesandcurrentsinthesedefinitions,andtheseareshowninFig.5.2.ReferringtoFig.5.2(a),wehaveTerminalvoltagegain:(5.1)Voltagegainreferredt
