6、theelectricsupplyavailableintheareainwhichtheapplianceistobeused.Insomecases,atransformermaybeusedtocorrectthevoltage.However,iftheappliancerequiresexacttimingorspeedandifthefrequencyoftheforeignelectricitysupplydiffersfromtheonetheappliancewasdesignedfor,itisadvisabletous

7、eanappliancedesignedfortheforeignfrequencysinceauxiliaryequip-menttochangefrequencyisbulkyandexpensive.Someforeignhotelshavecircuitsprovidingapproximately120voltswhichallowgueststouseelectricshaversandotherlow-wattageU.S.appliances.Theinformationpresentedherewascompiledove
