4、ourceofsolutionstothesechallenges.Amodifiedpond-landterrace(MPLT)land/waterusesystemisproposedtomaximiseshorelandconservationandassociatedecosystemservicesbasedonlocalpracticesofpaddyterraceanddike-fishpondfarming.TheMPLTsystemhasafunctionalstructurecomprisingwaterr

5、etentionpondsatthetop,vegetationfieldsinthemiddle,andthereservoirlakeatthebottom.ThedesignofthesystemisdescribedindetailinthisarticlebyreferencetotheWuyangBayinanurbanwetlandpark.Face-to-facequestionnairesurveyrevealedthatthecommunityholdsapositivewillingnesstopart

6、icipateintheMPLTproject.Givensignificantenvironmentaluncertaintiesinthisregion,post-constructionmonitoringisrecommendedforanextendedperiodinordertodeterminehowitsbenefitsmeetthepredictionsandfurtherinformadaptivemanagementandrefinementofthesystem.Theresultsillustrate
