5、sstothisintensification.Inaddition,agreatnumberofdoctoraldissertationsinthisfieldarecompletedinScandinavia,addinggreatlytotheexistentstoreofknowledgeconcerningawiderangeoflogisticsandSCMphenomena.However,todate,preciouslittleefforthasbeendevotedtoprovidinganoverviewofthese
6、dissertations.Thispaperisdesignedtofillthatvoid.Tothatend,75doctoraldissertationspublishedfrom1990to2001areidentified.TheframeworkclassifiesthedissertationsintoaseriesofmainthemesindicativeofthestateofNordicresearchinlogisticsandSCM.Suggestionsforfutureresearchbasedonthissu
