3、rformanceisbeneficialfortaskperfor-mance.Similarly,macro-levelresearchershavesuggestedthatorganizationsneedtoattendto,monitor,andrespondtocontingenciesintheirenvironmentsforadaptiveperformancetobebeneficialforfirmperformance.Drawingfromtheattention-basedtheoryofthefirmandresourceth
4、eory,wesuggestthatperceptionsoforganizationalpoliticsandindividualdifferencesinconscientiousnessconstitutecontingen-ciesoftheadaptiveperformance–taskperformancerelationship.Inasampleof92callcenteremployees,wefoundthatadaptiveperformanceispositivelyassociatedwithtaskperformanceb
