3、ndorderinthemasses.Thelinearpartofthistheoryisin-vations,thelatterspanningapproximatelyoneorbitalperiodofcorporatedintothestandardLaplace-LagrangesolutionwhichUranus,necessitatedtheintroductionofempiricalcorrectionsisthenappliedtothemotionoftheuraniansatellite

4、s.Thisen-totheirderivedseculareigenfrequencies,possiblyduetotheablestheeffectsofmeanmotionnear-resonancesinthissystemunmodelledeffectofthesenear-resonances.Thefirstanalyticaltobemodelled.Theresultsareinverygoodagreementwithtreatmentofthesephenomenawasperformedb

5、yMalhotraetthefilteredoutputofanumericalintegrationbyMalhotraetalal(1989)(hereafterreferredtoasMFMN)inwhichtheeffects(1989).Theadditionalcomplexitiesofstudyingtheoutersolarofthe2:1Umbriel-Titaniaandthe3:2Titania-Oberonnear-systemusingasimilarapproacharediscusse
