3、larmapcoversgeneticandmolecularstudies.Itisdiploid(2n=24),has1,389cMofthericegenomeandexceedsthecurrentarelativelysmallgenome(C=0.6pg),andcanberegen-classicalmapsbymorethan20%.Themapwasgenerat-eratedfromprotoplastsandtransformedbyexogenousedfromFzsegregationdata(50indiv
4、iduals)fromacrossDNA(BennettandSmith1976;Yamadaetal.1985;Lorzbetweenanindicaandjavanicaricecultivar.PrimaryandGobel1986;Uchimiyaetal.1986).Inaddition,itistrisomicswereusedtoassignlinkagegroupstoeachofthemostwidely-growncropplantworldwide,beingathe12ricechromosomes.Seven
5、ty-eightpercentofthestaplefoodformorethanhalftheworld'spopulationclonesassayedrevealedRFLPsbetweenthetwoparental(CoffmanandJuliano1987).Finally,thereisavastreser-cultivars,indicatingthatricecontainsasignificantvoirofgermplasm(>200,000accessions)ofbothdomes-amountofRFLPv
6、ariation.Strongcorrelationsbetweenticatedandwildricesmaintainedbyriceresearcherssizeofhybridizingrestrictionfragmentsandlevelofworldwide.polymorphismindicatethatasignificantproportionofGeneticstudiesoverthepast70yearshaveledtothetheRFLPsinricearegeneratedbyinsertions/de
