1、MLA论文写作规范简略说明In1984,theModernLanguageAssociation(MLA)introducedanewstyleofdocumentingsourcesinresearchpapers.ThispamphletexplainsthefeaturesofMLAstyle,accordingto1988MLAguidelines,andanalyzessomeoftheirimplicationsforyourresearchandcomposing.TherearethreemajorfeaturesofMLAstyle.First,allsourc
2、escitedinapaperarelistedinasectionentitledWorksCitedlocatedattheendofthepaper.Second,materialborrowedfromanothersourceisdocumentedwithinthetextbyabriefparentheticalreferencethatdirectsreaderstothefullcitationinthelistofworkscited.Third,footnotesorendnotesareusedtopresenttwotypesofsupplementar
3、yinformation:(1)commentaryorexplanationthatthetextcannotaccommodateand(2)bibliographicalnotescontainingseveralsourcecitations.1.PreparingtheListofWorksCitedInMLAstyle,thelistofworkscitedistheonlyplacewherereaderswillbeabletolocatecompleteinformationaboutthesourcesyouhavecitedinyourresearchpap
4、er.Forthatreason,yourlistmustbethoroughandaccuratesothatreaderswillknowexactlywheretheycanfindthesourcesofthewords,ideas,andevidencepresentedinyourtext.Thelistofworkscitedappearsattheendofyourpaperand,asitstitlesuggests,listsonlytheworksyouhavecitedinyourpaper.Occasionally,yourinstructormayas
5、kyoutopreparealistofworksconsulted,alistthatincludesnotonlythesourcesyoucitebutalsothesourcesyouconsultedasyouconductedyourresearch.Ineithercase,MLAprefersWorksCitedorWorksConsultedtothemorelimitedheadingBibliography(literally,“descriptionofbooks”)becausethoseheadingsaremorelikelytoaccommodat
6、ethevarietyofsources—articles,films,computersoftware—thatmaybecitedinaresearchpaper.Topreparethelistofworkscited,followthesegeneralguidelines:※PaginatetheWorksCitedsectionasacontinuationofyourtext.Iftheconclusionofyourpaperappearsonpage8,beginyourlistonpage9(unlessthereisaninterveningpageofen
