3、ervoirbed.Theresultsshow-5-1thattheaverageKvaluesofthereservoirbottomsedimentis3.96×10cms,the3-1leakagelossestimatedbyDarcyequationis1375.87md,andthenorthcentralpartofthereservoirdisplayshigherriskofleakageloss.TheresultsindicatethatthemethodofdeterminingKbyusinggrain–size

5、sediment;grain–sizedistributionanalysis1STUDYAREA1.1IntroductionTheBeitangreservoir,whichisaplainreservoir,liesbetweenlongitude117°38′Eand117°41′E,latitude39°06′Nand39°08′N,eastofnorthernChinaplain,westcoastofBohaiSea,andthelower2courseofYongdingRiver(Fig.1).Itcoversanarea

6、ofabout7.31km,2.2~3.1kmlonginnorthandsouth,2.5~2.8kmwideineastandwest,andwithadamof8.5mhigh.ThewaterlevelofBeitangreservoirrangesfrom5.6to7.1m,whichismuchhigherthanbothshallowgroundwaterandtheadjacentgroundsurface,whichvariesfrom2.7to5.5m.Consequently,thewaterinthereservoi
