3、多是对他的小说创作、散文、诗歌等进行文本分析，对他整个人生历程的关注则涉及较少。本文通过对施蛰存前后期身份转变的考察，来探讨他的学人化转向，以及这种转向所蕴含的个人内心的情绪变化。而施蛰存的转向，又可以映照出那个时代部分知识分子的心路历程。全文以时间为线索，梳理了施蛰存三个不同时期的历史境况。第一章主要论述其30年代的创作实绩，展现其创作才子的一面；第二章则概述了1949年到“文革”时期，施蛰存的人生境遇，他经历了由亲近组织到疏远政治的一系列行动，最终投入古典文学的研究；第三章则论述了施蛰存80年代的文化实践
