5、delyused in terrainmapping purpose.Increased the demand ofmapsinvarioussectorssuchresourcemanagement,engineering sectorsinplanning and developmentalpurpose.The advantageofDEMgenerationisa very usefulforheightinformation.The availabilityofhighresolutionsatellite
6、 imagery,suchasCARTOSAT1 hasopened new possibilitiesforterrainparameter evaluation.IndianRemote Sensing SatellitesCARTOSAT1 carryPAN camera,providing highresolution(2.5 m)Stereoimageryofthe earth’ssurface.DEMgeneratedfromstereo datahasbeenvalidatedusing ground
7、controlpoints(GCPs)with referenceDEM.which isused forevaluating the terrainparameterssuchaselevation,slope,contour,drainagepattern,and thematic mapsofgeologyand geomorphologylineamentland use and soilmap. These parametersare required asinputtoapplicationssuchas
