4、ineseurbanheritagesystem．ThedissertationiScomposedoffourparts．PartIandIIdefinedthevaluesandspecialcharactersofurbanheritagebydifferentiatingandanalyzingthenatureofconcept．UrbanHeritageAreashouldbeconsideredasanintegralpartofthecity，andalivingorganism．Thus，theobjectoftheconservationofUrbanHeri

5、tageisnotonlythephysicalrevitalization，butalsotheeconomicalandsocialrevitalization．Conservationofurbanheritagehasthenatureofprotectionof“publicinterest”．Furthermore，itshouldbeintegratedintourbanglobalstrategyasapositivefactorinurbandevelopment．PartIIIfocusesontheframeworkofconservationsystem．
