3、ccepted:Nov.30,2017;published:Dec.8,2017AbstractThekarstmountainareasinBuyiandMiaoAutonomousPrefectureofQiannanarefeaturedbykarstde-velopmentandstrongpermeabilityofrockstratum,whichcausethelackofsurfacewater,andtheim-balanceofecologicalenvironment.Basedonthedatarecorde
4、dinQiannanWaterResourcesGazettefrom2000to2015andChroniclesofQiannanWaterResourcesbytheendof1995,thequantity,qualityandutilizationofthewaterresourceswereevaluatedusingGIStechnology.Theresultsshowedthat:1)thesurfacewatershortageismainlycausedbystrongkarstdevelopmentandhi
5、ghrainfallinfiltrationrate.Thewaterresourcesareunevenlydistributed.ThecentralandthesouthernpartsofQiannanarericherinwaterresourcethanthenorthernpart.2)Themanagementofthewatersourcequalitymonitoringhasbeengraduallyimprovedandstrengthened;theriversnearthecityandindustria
6、landminingenter-prisesarepollutedseriously.Thepollutantsareammonianitrogendominant;inruralareas,thequalityofdrinkingwaterneedstobeimproved.3)Theutilizationofwaterresourcesdisplaystheregionalcha-racteristics;waterconservancyscenicspotshavebeenplannedandconstructed,which
7、reconciledthewaterresourceutilizationandtourismdevelopment.4)Thestrictestwaterresourcesmanagementsys-temhasbeenintroducedsince2013.Theannualwaterresourcesutilizationrateincreasedto7.97%.ThisstudycanprovidereferencedataforcomprehensiveutilizationofwaterresourcesinQianna
