2、ationrules，clusteringandetc．First，thethesisdoespre—processingworkontheearthquakedataforassociationrulesmining．Thethesisproducesthedatapre—processingmethodsuchasblocking，circling，clusteringandprincipalcomponentanalysis．Theearthquakecatalogdataismadeofearthquaketime，latitude，l

3、ongitude，magnitude．Inblockingwedividetheregionsintoblocksaccordingtothelongitude，latitudeandtofindoutthecorrelationsbetweentheblocks．Inclustering，thethesisusestheclusteringalgorithmtoclusterthe20earthquakezonesandSOwecanfindoutthecorrelationsbetweentheearthquakezones．Second，

4、accordingtothecharacteristicsoftheearthquakedata，toimprovethespeedandtodealwithlargedatasets，thethesispresentstheFPM_LP(FastParallelMiningofLocalPruning)parallelalgorithmtofindouttheassociationrules．ByrunningonZhiQiang2000，theefficencyhasimproved．Third，thethesisapplieStheFPM
