2、XLPEhasbeenpaidgreatattention,andtheon-linemonitoringandlocationofpartialdischargeoccurredinXLPEbecomeoneoftheissuesofgeneralinterest.Basedonthetransmissioncharacteristicofpartialdischargeincable,azCablemodelconsideringskineffectisestablishedbyusingPSCAD/EMTDC
3、.Accordingtosimulationresults,thetransmissionandattenuationofpartialdischargehavebeenverifiedwhichsetthefoundationfordelay-timeestimationalgorithmforPDsiteslocation.Aself-integratingnetworkbasedbroadbandcurrentsensorforPDisdesignedandperformanceparameterareana
4、lyzed.Moreover,theresponsesensitivityandfrequencybreadtharestudiedfromintegratingresistance,magneticcorematerialofcoil,sectionalareaofwireandnumberofwindings.Frontendcircuitisdesignedandanexperimentalplatformisestablished.Accordingtospecifictypesofpartialdisch
5、argeofXLPE,3typicaldischargemodelsaredesigned.Duringtheexperiment,PDsignalscorrespondingtofourdefectsarecollected,andnoisecontainedinthemareeliminatedbywavelettheory.Simulationindicatede-noisehasachievegoodresults.Twotime-delayestimationalgorithmsforXLPEPDsite
6、slocation,namely,waveletbasedgeneralcorrelationmethodandtwiceweightedmethod,areproposed.Waveletbasedgeneralcorrelationmethodrelaxtheassumedconditionfortime-delayestimationofdirectcorrelationmethod,overcometheinaccuracyoflocationwhenPDsignalcorrelatewithnoise,e
7、xtendtheapplicationoftime-delay,andhavehighdegreeof3accuracyonscale2.Twice-weightedmethodbasedonwaveletisnotonlyparticularlysuitfortime-delayestimationunderlowSNR,butalsosuitforthePDLocationinlong23cableonscale2and2.However,itcannotovercomethelimitationofnon-c
8、orrelationbetweensignalandnoiseneededbygeneralcorrelationmethod.Accordingtothesimulation,bothofthetwoalgorithmscansuitforPDlocationofXLPEwithhighaccuracy.Inpractice,itshouldusethem
