3、tionfor2Dnetworks．PracticalnodesofWSNsaregenerallyarrangedin3Dscenariossuchasinspace，underwater,oronhillyterrains，ratherthanonpure2Dflats．thus3Dpositioninformationofnodesiscommonlyrequired．Nodeself-localizationalgorithmsfor3DWSNsaremainlyresearchedinthisthesis．Basedon2

4、DlOCalizationalgorithms，i．e．，Centroid，DV-Hop，andDV-Distance，thecorresponding3Dlocalizationalgorithms，i．e．，3D—Centroid，3D—DV-Hop，and3D—DV-Distanceareproposedinthisthesis．Averagelocalizationerror,coverage，andthenumberofmessagesexchangedareevaluatedastheperformancecritemf

5、orlocalizationalgorithmswithaC++simulationplatform．Foreachpairoflocalizationalgorithms，firstlytheperformanceofthe2Dalgorithmon2Dplatsispresented，andthentheperformanceofthe2Dalgorithmandthe3Donein3DspacesiScomparedoncomparableconditions．TheWOrkofthisthesisindicatesthat。
