4、ationsoninsectnaturalenemies，biologyofthecerambycid，andbiologicalcontroltechniqueusingthenaturalenemiesCarriedoutbythepresentauthor,wereintroduced．Theresearchresultsobtainedareasfollows：1．Anewpredatorof坛alternatuswasfoundforthefirsttimeinChina，Cryptalausberus(

5、Coleoptera：Elateridae)，andpredatedthehostlarvaeover28individualsduringitslarvalstage．2．Anothertwonewpredatorsof肱alternatuswerefoundaswellinChina：gold．ringedelateridandblackelaterid(scientificnamesneedtobeidentifiedfurther)．Theformerspeciescouldconsumeover24hos

6、tlarvae。andthelatterpredatedover27middle．agedhostlarvaeintheirlarvalstagerespectively．Theywereveryaggressiveandcouldenterintomanygalleriesof必alternatuslal'vaetofindhostforconsumption．Theyhavehighpotentialasbiologicalcontrolagentsagainstthepest．3．Thetechniquewh
