4、ationsoninsectnaturalenemies,biologyofthecerambycid,andbiologicalcontroltechniqueusingthenaturalenemiesCarriedoutbythepresentauthor,wereintroduced.Theresearchresultsobtainedareasfollows:1.Anewpredatorof坛alternatuswasfoundforthefirsttimeinChina,Cryptalausberus(
5、Coleoptera:Elateridae),andpredatedthehostlarvaeover28individualsduringitslarvalstage.2.Anothertwonewpredatorsof肱alternatuswerefoundaswellinChina:gold.ringedelateridandblackelaterid(scientificnamesneedtobeidentifiedfurther).Theformerspeciescouldconsumeover24hos
6、tlarvae。andthelatterpredatedover27middle.agedhostlarvaeintheirlarvalstagerespectively.Theywereveryaggressiveandcouldenterintomanygalleriesof必alternatuslal'vaetofindhostforconsumption.Theyhavehighpotentialasbiologicalcontrolagentsagainstthepest.3.Thetechniquewh
