3、impactonthedevelopmentofitssocietyandculture.SuchissueshaveattractedmanyChineseresearchersandpractitioners,andmanyimportantresearchfieldshavebeenexplored.Basedontheideaoffittheory,ourresearchfocusonthefitbetweenthesuccessorandincumbent,familybusiness’successionpattern,thecompositeeffectbetweenth
4、esuccessionpatternanddevelopmentstrategy,andtheeffectivenessofthesuccession.InstudyI,29topmanagersinfamiliybusinessesindifferentdistrictsandindustrieswereinvestigatedviasemi—structuredinterview.TheresultindicatedthatfoursuccessionpatternsexistedinChinesefamilybusinesses.Theyarediversity,reproduc
5、tion,newventureandbusinessstarsuccessing.TheresultalsoindicatedthattherearefourdevelopmentstrategiesinChinesefamilybusinesses.Theyareabilitydeveloping,businessfamiliarizing,businessfamiliarizingandnetworkstructure.Theresultestabilishedapreparatoryconstructframeworkforfollowingstudiesaswell.Based
