2、formationfusion，areproposedandstudied．Firstly，ahierarchicalreductionapproachofRSTisproposed．Inthisapproach，accordingtotheacquisitionmode，costandtherealtimerequirement．theattributesareclassifiedtodifferentpartsallocatedatseverallayers．Sotheknowledgeintheinformationsystemcanbepre

3、sentedhierarchicallywithmultiplegranularitiesatmultiplelayers．Andthereductioncarlhierarchicallybeappliedtopartofattributesallocatedateachlayer．Thisapproachisveryapplicabletopractice．Basedontheinformationtheory，itisprovedthattheentropyofinformationsystemandthemutualinformationof

4、decisionsystemareconstantinthehierarchizationofattributes．SotheRSThierarchicalreductionapproacheshavestrictmathematicbasis．Theapplicationinacquiringthecontroldecisionofacementkilnshowsthevalidityofthehierarchicalreductionapproach．Secondly，twoextendedRSThierarchicalreductionappr
