2、ingstipulatethatteachers’workistomotivatestudents’interestinEnglish,cultivatestudents’senseofsuccess,guidestudentstoformgoodlearninghabit,enablethemtocommunicatesmoothlyanddevelopsoundvaluetowardslearningandliving.Teachers’guidanceisthebasisandpremiseforstudentstorealizet
3、hegoal.InEnglishlanguageteaching,teachersshouldworkhardtoguidestudents,soastogetthemtobeinvolvedintolearningprocess,learntoprobe,beinterestedinstudies,andlearntolearnontheirown,andatlastturnthestillknowledgefrombooksintodynamicability.TeachersplaymultiplerolesinEnglishlan
4、guageteaching:Theyareknowledgeconveyers,supplyingstudentslanguageknowledgeandskills;theyarehelpers,helpingstudentsgetEnglishinformationandanalyzeit,andhelpingstudentstolearn,andsolveproblems;Theyarecompanions,stayingbystudents’side;theyareorganizers,organizingactivitiesfo
5、rstudents;Andtheyarecontrollers,makingsurestudentsaredisciplinedintheclassroom……I’vebeenateacherofEnglishwithWuxiForeignLanguageSchool,whichischaracterizedwithuniquelanguageteachingapproach.I’vebeenabletotakeadvantagetosuccessfullyguidestudentstonotonlycopewithtests,butal
6、souseEnglishskillfully.Thefollowingarepartofmythoughtsonhowtoplayteachers’role.I.GivingStudentsGuidanceTeachingstartswithguiding.Onlyunderscientificandeffectiveguidance,canstudentsbeorganizedeffectivelytotakepartintotheirlearningprocess.Guidanceistobecarriedoninthreesteps
