4、tworksrepresentasignificantdeparturefromtraditionalwirednetworksduetothedistinguishingcharacteristicsofboththewirelesschannelandmobiledevices.Consequently,AODVincorporatesmanynovelfeaturesforhandlingmobility,reducedcapacitylinks,andthevariable,indeterminatenatureofthesign
5、alingrangeofwirelessmedia.Sinceitsinitialdesign,AODVhasevolvedinanumberofwaysforimprovedperformance,robustness,andbetterscalability.Nevertheless,weseemanyopportunitiesforcontinuedimprovement.Thisthesispresentsanalgorithmforameshbasedadhocon-demanddistancevector(AODV)routi
6、ngprotocolscenarioofmobileadhocnetwork(MANET)wherecellphones,PDAsandotherhandhelddevicescouldbeabletouseWi-Fithattheyareequippedwith,toconnectwithotherdevicesbyusingadhocnetworkinadefinedarea.Thenetworkisformedwithoutsupportofanycentraladministrationorfixedinfrastructure.
7、AlthoughthealgorithmforMANEThasbeenproposedearlier,itpresentedweaknesssuchaslimitedbatterypower,impulsivemobilityandlowfrequencyofmobilesignalsstrengthinnodes.Therefore,therewasaneedtoovercomethoselimitations.Assuch,inthisthesis,weaddalinkbreakagepredictionalgorithmtooneo
