4、entinbothalteredconfigurations.Furthermore,heuristicmodels,proposedaccordingtothedeformationcharacteristicsoftheresonantmodes,provideapreciseestimationtotheinteriorlyresonantbandgapinvolvingitspositionandextent,thusofferingarationalanalysistoassessthebandgaptunability.Thispredictablerobustne
5、ssoftheheuristicmodelsfortheinteriorlyresonantbandgapssuggeststhepotentialofSSRHasahoststructureintheactivecontroltothepropagationofelasticwaves.(3)Beam-typeperiodicmaterialswithhighconnectivityhavedisplayeduniquebandgapbehaviorsanalogoustolocallyresonantbandgapsinacousticmetamaterials.Inthi
6、schapter,SSRHisintroducedtobethehoststructureofasmartmaterialtotailortheelasticwavepropagation.Finitelengthpiezoelectricpatchesconnectedwithnegativecapacitanceshuntingcircuitsarearrangedonthebeamsurfaces,providingactiveadjustmentviaalteringtheparametersofshuntingcircuits.Resultsdemonstrateth
