7、romoted-waterandtheanhydridemechanisms.Thecalculatedresultsindicatethattheenzymaticreactionproceedsfavourablythroughthepromoted-waterprocesswithGlu178servingasthegeneralbaseandgeneralacid.Thefree-energycalculationssuggestthatthefirstnucleophilicattackstepisrate-determiningwith
