2、重要的现实意义。长期以来，广卅f城市传统中轴线上的城市景观并没有形成明显可感知的空间效果，市民对“传统中轴线”概念亦已日渐模糊。有鉴于此，广州市政府于1999年制定并执行了《广州历史文化名城保护条例》，该条例明确了广州传统城市中轴线的历史定位，并推动轴线及其周边具有特殊历史价值地段的保护与建设。本文在此背景之下，以广州城市传统中轴线为研究基础，通过大量的现状调研、资料归纳和总结，提出了广州传统城市中轴线开放空间植物景观的一些存在问题：进而结合植物景观设计的基本理论和世界上多个城市开放空间植物景观应用范例，对如何优化传统城市轴线开放空间植物景
