5、lingdetectingacm-scaledisturbanceoverlongsensingdistanceswasdeveloped.Thenovelsensingmethodcalled“double-peakspectrum”basedonthedifferentialpulse-widthpairDPP-BOTDAtechniquehasbeenproposedandinvestigatedtheoretically,demonstratednumericallyandimplementedexpe
6、rimentally.InstandardBOTDAsensing,thespatialresolutionisanimportantparameterbecauseitrepresentstheminimumdetectableperturbationlengthofthesensor,whichisdeterminedbythewidthofthepumppulse.However,thisimportantparameterislimitedunfortunatelyto1mbytheacousticph
7、ononslifetime(10-ns).Forpumppulsedurationsshorterthan10-nstheBGSexperiencesbroadening.Thelatterfeatureturnstobeharmfultothemeasurementaccuracybecauseitleadstoapoorfrequencyresolutionwhenestimatingthecentralfrequencyofthegainspectrum.Meanwhile,forpulsesmuchlo
8、ngerthan10-ns,thegainspectralwidthtendstowardtheBrillouinnaturallinewidth(30MHz).FortraditionalBOTDAsensorwhenthespatialresolutionishighenoughtoresolveagivenperturbationtheresultingBGShasasingle
