4、mentupperandlowerboundtechniquestothisproblemwiththeaimofprovidingseismicstabilitychartsforrockslopes.Withinthelimitanalysisframework,thepseudo-staticmethodisemployedbyassumingarangeoftheseismiccoefficients.BasedonthelatestversionofHoek–Brownfailurecriterion,s

5、eismicrockslopestabilitychartshavebeenproduced.Thesechartsolutionsboundthetruestabilitynumberswithin±9%orbetterandaresuitedtoiso-tropicandhomogeneousintactrockorheavilyjointedrockmasses.Acomparisonofthestabilitynumbersobtainedbyboundingmeth-odsandthelimitequ
