5、erature.ThispaperanalysestheroleoffinancialflowsinsupplychainsandtheimpactSCMcanhaveonoptimisingsuchflowsintermsofcapitalcost.AframeworkforthefinancialaspectsofSCMisdeveloped.Furthermore,amathematicalmodelisproposedtoexplainfinancingactivitiesacrosssupplychains,whicharereferredto
6、as‘‘supplychainfinancing’’(SCF).Thebasicideaofthemodelisthatsupplychaininformationcanbeusedtodecreaseinvestmentrisksandthuscapitalcostsoffinancingprojectswithinsupplychains.First,inthispaper,supplychainflowsareanalysed,andtheroleoffinancialaspectsarediscussedonthebasisofaprelimin
