3、fficientmotivation,examplesandapplications.ThisclearlydistinguishesLectureNotesfromjournalarticlesortechnicalreportswhichnormallyareveryconcise.Articlesintendedforajournalbuttoolongtobeacceptedbymostjournals,usuallydonothavethis"lecturenotes"character.Forsimilarreasonsitisunusualfordoctoral

4、thesestobeacceptedfortheLectureNotesseries.2.Manuscriptsshouldbesubmitted(preferablyinduplicate)eithertooneoftheserieseditorsortoSpringer-Verlag,Heidelberg.Ingeneral,manuscriptswillbesentoutto2externalrefereesforevaluation.Ifadecisioncannotyetbereachedonthebasisofthefirst2reports,furtherref

5、ereesmaybecontacted:theauthorwillbeinformedofthis.Afinaldecisiontopublishcanbemadeonlyonthebasisofthecompletemanuscript,howeverarefereeingprocessleadingtoapreliminarydecisioncanbebasedonapre-finalorincompletemanuscript.Thestrictminimumamountofmaterialthatwillbeconsideredshouldincludeadetail
