2、merisationandprocessing.Inthefollowingchapter,DavidBowerdescribesimportantexperimentaltechniquesusedinthestudyofpolymers.Themainpartofthebook,however,isdevotedtothestructureandpropertiesofsolidpolymers,includingblends,copolymersandliquid-crystalpolymers.Withanapproachappropriateforadvancedun
3、dergraduateandgraduatestudentsofphysics,materialsscienceandchemistry,thebookincludesmanyworkedexamplesandproblemswithsolutions.Itwillprovideafirmfoundationforthestudyofthephysicsofsolidpolymers.DAVIDBOWERreceivedhisD.Phil.fromtheUniversityofOxfordin1964.In1990hebecameareaderintheDepartmentofP
