3、musefulcomputationat250MHz.ThenotionofanªeventhorizonºforFPGA'sleadstocleardesignconstraintsforhigh-Radioastronomersanalyzespectrausinghigh-performancespeedapplicationdevelopers,andcanbeappliedtoavarietyofreal-timecomputers[3].High-frequencyradioastronomy,real-timesignalp

4、rocessingalgorithms.Recentestimatesindicateparticularlymillimeter-waveandsubmillimeterastronomy,thathigherperformanceFPGA'savailableearlyin1998canutilizeswide-bandspectrometerswithatleast1±2GHzofattainspeedsofover300MHzusing20%fewerlogicelementsspectrometerbandwidth.Weaka

5、stronomicalsignalsrequirethancurrentdesigns.TheresultsofthisdesignworkprovideimportantcluesonhowtoimproveFPGAarchitecturesforsignalfull-parallelintegrationonallofthechannelstodetectmeasur-processingathundredsofMHz.Directroutingchannelsbetweenablesignals.Therefore,scanning

6、spectrometersdonotworklogicelementscansignificantlyincreaseperformance.Routingforthisapplication.Acoustoopticspectrometerscanachievearchitectureswithfour-waysymmetryallowforrotationsandthebroadbandwidth,butbecomeproblematicinlargearraysreflectionsofsubcircuitsneededforoptim

7、alpackingdensity.andforspace-borneapplicationswhereadjustmentsoftheExperimentalresultsindicatethatclockbufferingoftenlimitsthetopspeedoftheFPGA.Wavepipeliningofclockdistributionanalogelementsbecomeverydifficult.networkmayimproveFPGAperformance.Anotheralternativeusesaparall
