2、ationanddesktopvirtualization.Somephysicalhardwarevirtualization,suchas:CPU,memory,networkadapter,anddisk,whichareinvolvedintheservervirtualization;andGPUvirtualizationisincludedinthedesktopvirtualization.Diskvirtualization,networkvirtualizationandGPUvirtualizationallbelo
3、ngtotheI/Ovirtualization.Asanimportantcomponentofvirtualmachinesystems,virtualI/Ohasnon-negligibleeffectsontheperformanceofvirtualmachinesystems.Manytechniques,suchasCPUandmemoryinvirtualmachinehavebeenwellresearched,andsignificantprogresshasbeenmadeinsuchfields.However,I
4、/Ovirtualizationisstillachallengeinvirtualsystems.BasedonXen,thispaperstudiestheI/Ovirtualizationinvirtualmachinesystem,includingvirtualmulti-channeldiskI/Obandwidthallocationanditsfairness,andmulti-channelGPUvirtualizationmethod.Themainresearchcontentsareasfollows:1)This
5、paperpresentsaVirtualMulti-ChannelofDiskI/O(VMCD)method,anddesignscreditallocationmechanism,globalmonitoringstrategy,andvirtualmulti-channelfairschedulingalgorithmtoincreasediskI/Operformance.Sincemultipleguestvirtualmachines(DomUs)arerunningonasinglephysicaldevice,diskI/
6、Osharingandaggregatedthroughpututilizationarestillchallengesinvirtualizedenvironments.AlthoughseveralmethodshavebeendevelopedfordiskI/OperformancevirtualizationamongmultipleDomUs,mostofthemsufferfromoneormoreofthefollowingdrawbacks.(1)Afairschedulingmechanismismissingwhen
7、requestsconvergetogetherfrommultiplequeues.(2)ExistingmethodsrelyonbetterperformanceoftheunderlyingstoragesystemsuchasSolidStateDrive(SSD).(3)Throughputandlatencyarenotconsideredsimultaneously.VMCDisbuiltontopofanordinarystorageutility,whichpreventstheinterferenceamongmul
