2、ies.Weusedasurvey-questionnaireapproachtogatherdata.Ascalewasdevelopedmeasuringtheextenttowhichrespondentsthoughteachitemreflectedtheirorganisation'sviewontheimportanceofmeasuringofhumanresources.Componentanalysisrevealedtworeasonswhymeasuringhumanresourcesisperceivedasbeingimporta
3、nt.Thefirstillustratestheviewthat'measurementreflectsthestrategicandcompetitiveimportanceofhumanresources',whilethesecondsuggeststhat,'toearncredibility,HRMmustbeexpressedinfinancialterms'.Furtheranalysishighlightedtheimportanceofseniormanagementandfinancialmanagers'supportformeasu
