4、thespeciesdiversityandcompositionofplantcommunitiesinasuburbanpostin-Accepted11April2012dustriallandscapeinthecentralpartoftheCzechRepublic.Werecorded242phytosociologicalrelevésAvailableonline2May2012(5m×5m)inaregulargridoveranareaof2.5km×1.8km.Dataona
5、bioticfactors(slope,solarirra-diation,bedrock)andlandscapestructure(distancefromrelevétothenearestroad,settlementandKeywords:habitatrichnessedge)wereobtainedfromdigitalmaps.Patternsofplantspeciestraitswerealsoexamined.ASpeciestotalof387speciesofvascula
6、rplantswasrecorded,andamajorityofthespecies(58%)wasfoundinSuburbanvegetationfivefactorsorfewersites.Thespeciesabundancesintheregionweresignificantlyaffectedbyseveraltraits.AbioticAlongvegetationgradientincludingwoodlands,shrubs,grasslandsandruderalandwee
7、dycommu-Landscapestructurenitieswereobservedinthesuburbanlandscape.LandcoverwasacrucialdeterminantofboththePlanttraitsCentralEuropediversityandspeciescomposition.Thenumberofspeciesandevennesswassignificantlyinfluencedbydifferentabioticandlandscapestructu
8、refactors.Thespeciescompositionwasaffectedbyallofthetestedfactors.Wefoundrelationshipsbetweenspeciestraitsandlandscapestructurecharacteristics.Theresultsofthisstudyshowedthatthespeciesrichnessandthediversityofvegetationtypesarerela-tive
