3、eofthecipherssecurity,butmaybealsothebaseforanewclassofcryptographicprimitivesbasedonlatticeproblems.Thereforethiscipheranditsconstructionisagoodalternativetocryptosystemsbasedontheintegerfactoriziationproblemorthediscretelogarithm.1IntroductionInthelastdecadesalotofpublickeycryptosystemshavebee
4、nproposed,butneverthelessonlyafewcryptosystems(namelyRSA,ElGamal/Diffie-Hellman,DSA,...)areusedinpractise.However,thesecryptosystemsareveryhardtoimplement(especiallyforunskillednewprogrammersorinsmartcardsorcom-parableenvironments).Furthermoreallthosepublickeysystemsarebasedonnumbertheoreticalprob
5、lemsliketheintegerfactorizationproblemorthedis-cretelogarithm.Shouldanynumbertheoreticalproblembesolvedthesecurityoftheseciphersisindanger.Inordertocicumventthesedrawbacksalotofpeoplehavebeensearchingforfasterandsometimeseasierimplementablealternativecryptographicalgo-rithms.Worthtomentionherear
6、eforexamplethecryptosystemsbasedontheknapsackproblem(see[1]forthehistoryofknapsacktypecryptosystems).Thesepublickeyencryptionalgorithmswouldhavebeenfasterthananysysteminvolvingnumbertheoreticalconstructions.However,allknownciphersofthattypehaveeitherbeenbrokenand/orarecompletelyimpracticalbecaus
