3、ndering.ThespecificpropertiesoftheEWAalgorithmrequiredavarietyofnoveldesignconceptsincludingaternarydepthtestandusinganon-chippipelinedheapdatastructureformakingthememoryaccessesofsplatprimitivesmorecoherent.Inaddition,wedevelopedacomputationallystableevaluationschemeforpe

4、r-spectivelycorrectedsplats.WeimplementedourarchitecturebothonreconfigurableFPGAboardsandasanASICprototype,andweintegrateditintoanOpenGL-likesoftwareimplementation.Ourevaluationcomprisesadetailedperformanceanalysisusingscenesofvaryingcomplexity.Figure1:Pointrenderingsystem
