6、esaredrivingthemarkettoembracenewpropulsionsystemsinanattempttoassistefficientlytheinternalcombustionengine(ICE).Ofparticularinterestarehybridpropulsionsystems,wherethepowertrainisbuiltaroundanICEandanelectricdrive.Basically,anhybridpropulsionsystemincludestwoelect
7、ricmachines:oneisusedasapropellerwhiletheotherismainlyusedforbatterycharge.Althoughthesemachinesplaydifferentroles,theiroperatingcyclesaremoreorlesslinked.Moreover,theirlocationswithinthepowertrainrepresentadrawbackfromthepointofviewofvolumeoptimization.Forthesere
