3、stract.Wedescribeavirtualtelemetrysystemthatallowsustodeviseandaugmentdynamicdata-drivenapplicationsimulations(DDDAS).Virtualtelemetryhastheadvantagethatitisinexpensivetoproducefromrealtimesimulationsandreadilytransmittableusingopensourcestreamingsoftware.Re
4、altelemetryisusuallyexpensivetoreceive(ifitisevenavailablelongterm),tendstobemessy,comesinnoparticularorder,andcanbeincompleteorerroneousduetotransmissionproblemsorsensormalfunction.Wecangeneratemultiplestreamscontinuouslyforextendedperiods(e.g.,monthsoryear
5、s):cleandata,somewhaterrorpronedata,andquitelossyorinaccuratedata.BystudyingallofthestreamsatoncewewillbeabletodeviseDDDAScomponentsusefulinpredictivecontaminantmodeling.AvirtualtelemetrymoduleisnowpartoftheSCIRunproblemsolvingenvironment.Keywords.DDDAS,midd
