4、iers,2005,12(1):310-320Abstract:TheDongyanFormationoftheMesoproterozoicMamianshanGroup,CentralFujianProvince,com-prisesmainlygreenschist,marble,quartzschistandfelsicrocks.Resultsofgeochemicalanalyses,indicatethatmostofthemetamorphosedrocksoftheDongyanFormationarederivedfrommafi
5、candfelsicvolcanicrocksandlesscommonlyfromsedimentaryrocks.ThegreenschistrocksaretypicalofthemiddleandupperDongyanFormation,andincludealbite-actinoliteschistandepidote-albite-actinolite-chloriteschist.Theserocksshowfeaturessuggestingthattheyaremetamorphosedsubmarinebasalticlava
6、s.Geochemicaldatasug-gestthattheprotolithofthegreenschistrockswasprobablyoftholeiiticcompositionandthatthefelsicrockswerederivedfromdaciteandrhyolitevolcanicrocks.REEpatternsandtraceelementdataofthemaficmetavolcanicrocks(greenschist)supporttheideathattheyarecontinentaltholeiite
