4、----------------------------AbstractSealingperformanceofthecombinedsealsatsupplyoilpressureof40MPawasexperimentallyandtheoreticallyinvestigated.Anex-perimentalsetupofcombinedsealsforreciprocatingpistonrodswasestablishedinShanghaiJiaoTongUniversity.Twocombinedsealswerechosenforst
5、udies,e.g.C-shapeandT-shape(Fig.1).Atheoreticalmodelbasedonone-dimensionalReynoldsequationwasmadeforobtainingtheoilfilmdistributionbetweentherodandthecombinedseals.Finiteelementmethodwasusedtocalculatethecontactpressurebetweentherodandthecombinedseals.Thesealingperformanceofcomb
6、inedsealswasanalyzedintermsofthecontactpres-sure,theback-pumpingability,thefluidtransportandthenetleakageundertheconditionsofvaryingtheinletpressure,thefrequencyofthepressureandthevelocityoftherod.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratedthatthevelocityoftherodsignificantlyinfluencesth
