3、ialisproposedforuseasabuffer.Intheworkdescribedhere,athermalprobebasedonthehotwiremethodwasusedtomeasurethethermalconductivityofcompactedbentonitespecimens.Theexperimentalresultswereanalyzedtoobservetheeffectsofvariousfactors(i.e.drydensity,watercontent,hysteresis,degreeofsaturationandvolumetricf
4、ractionofsoilconstituents)onthethermalconductivity.Alinearcorrelationwasproposedtopredictthethermalconductivityofcompactedbentonitebasedonexperimentallyobservedrelationshipbetweenthevolumetricfractionofairandthethermalconductivity.Therelevanceofthiscorrelationwasfinallyanalyzedtogetherwithotherex
