5、strategyiswelldocumented(Almeida,PedrosadeJesusandWatts,2008;ChinandOsborne,2008;GraesserandOlde,2003).Itissuggestedthatteachersspendupto50%ofclasstimeonquestioningandthattheyaskbetween300and400questionsaday(LevinandLong,1981),whileeachstudentasks,onaverage,1questionperweek(Gra

6、esser&Person,1994).Surprisingly,teachersseemtobenotawareofthisdiscrepancy.Severalstudiesalsorelyonthekindofquestionsaskedbyteachersandstudents,concludingthattheseareusuallyproceduralandfact-based(e.g>BrownandEdmondson,1985).Thisparticularstudyaimedatpromotingteachers'classroomq

7、uestioningawarenessthroughtheirinvolvementonacourseofprofessionaldevelopment(CPD).2
