2、ercialapplicationsforsuchdevicesincludeuninterruptiblepowerapplications,telecommunications,andpublictransportation.Electrodesbasedoncarbonnanotubes(CNTs)offerexceptionalpowerandenergyperformanceduetothehighsurfacearea,highconductivity,andtheabilitytofunctionalizetheCNTstooptimizecapacitor

3、properties.Inthisarticle,ateamofresearchersatGeorgiaTechResearchInstitutereportonthepreparationofelectrochemicalcapacitorsincorporatingCNTelectrodesandtheirperformancecomparedwithexistingcommercialtechnology.Preliminaryresultsindicatethatsubstantialincreasesinbothpowerandenergydensityarep

4、ossiblewithfurtherdevelopment.Theauthorsdiscusstheeffectsofnanotubegrowthandprocessingmethods,includingpurificationandfunctionalization,onelectrochemicalcapacitorperformance.Finally,theauthorsreviewthecompatibilityofdifferentCNTsandelectrolytesbysummarizingresearchfocusedonvaryingthetypeo
