4、ouspeersbycomputingthetrustworthinessofthepeers.Thevalidityofareputation-basedtrustmechanismreliesonsomewell-chosentrustfactors,whichdirectlyinfluencethecomputationoftrustvalue,theaccuracyofthetrustmechanism,andtheresistibilityofthetrustmechanismtovariousattacks.However,thereareso
5、meproblemsintheabovethreeaspectsofexistingreputation-basedtrustmechanismsinP2Penvironments,suchastheselectionoftrustfactors.Thispaperpresentsanovelreputation-basedtrustmechanismforP2Pe-commercesystems.Inthismechanism,apeerhastwokindsofreputations,namelylocalreputationsandglobalrep
6、utations.Thelocalreputationofapeerrelativetoanotherpeeriscalculatedintermsofthereferencepeer’sratingofthetransactionbetweenthetwopeers,whereastheglobalreputationiscomputedbasedonallpeers’ratingofthetransactionbetweenthem.Tocomputethelocalandglobalreputationspreciselyandtoobtainstr
7、ongerresistibilitytoattacksaswell,manycomprehensivefactorsincomputingtrustvalueareintroducedinthemechanism.Toestimatethevalidityoftheratinggivenbypeers,aqualitymodelandacomputationalmethodarealsoemployedtoevaluatetheobjectivityandthecredibilityoftherating,respectively.Tocomputethe
