3、sofcalculationbecamestandardtoolsoftheoreticalanalysisinbothquantumelectrodynamicsandhigh-energyphysics.FeynmanwasavisitingprofessorattheCaliforniaInstituteofTechnologyin1950,wherehelateracceptedapermanentfacultyappointment,andbecameRichardChaceTolmanProfessorofTheoreticalPhysicsin1959.
4、Hehadanextraordinaryabilitytocommunicatehissciencetoaudiencesatalllevels,andwasawell-knownandpopularlecturer.RichardFeynmandiedin1988afteralongillness.FreemanDyson,oftheInstituteforAdvancedStudyinPrinceton,NewJersey,calledhim'themostoriginalmindofhisgeneration',whileinitsobituaryTheNewY
