4、bles(1851),TheMarbleFaun(I860).TheScarletLetterisafamousAmericannovelwhoseauthor,NathanielHawthorne,isconsideredtheleadingAmericannativefictionistof19thcentury.TheScarletLettertoldusastorythatinJune1642,inthePuritantownofBoston,acrowdgatheredtowitnesspunishment.
