2、evaluablelandsoftheBudaMountains.Thebrickproductionendedin1972andtheopenpitwasrecultivatedbyheterogeneouslandfill.Theminingareawasanaturalslopethatexperiencedlandslidespriortotheclayproduction.Theminingactivityacceleratedtheslidingandcatastrophiclandslidestookplaceseveraltimesinthe
3、brick-yard.Theabandonedclaypitbecameavaluableconstructionsitefromthe1990'ies.Acomputerslopestabilitymodelwasusedtoanalysewhetherthisareaissuitableforhousingornot.TherawmaterialbelongstotwoclayformationtheOligoceneTardclay,andKiscellclay.Theclaysarecoveredbyloessanddebrisslide.TheKi
4、scellclayisdividedintotwounitshavingdifferentproperties.Thelowerlayerisgreyandimpermeable,whiletheupperoneisyellow,limoniticandhasalimitedpermeability.Fortheslopestabilityanalysesdatafromboreholesandgeophysicaltestswereused.Themaincauseoflandslidesisrelatedtotherainwaterinfiltratio
5、n.Theprecipitationseepsintotheupperdebrislayerandgetsintothesurfaceofthegreyclayeyunitdecreasingthefriction.Additionalwaterisdrivenfromspringsthatwerecoveredbyformerlandslidesandthemissingdrainagepipesofthearea.Theslidingsurfaceisattheboundaryofthegreyandyellowclay.Theslopestabilit
