1、MediaRelations1.YoumusthaveanyandallinformationgivenouttothepublicapprovedthroughtheMediaRelationsDeputytotheKingdomSeneschalbeforeitisdistributed.Corporalawislistedbelow.PleasecontactourKingdomMediaRelationsofficerforquestions1)Ifthemediacontactsyourgroupforthepur
2、poseofdoingastoryorothermediapresentation,thisneedstobereportedtothemediaoffice.Forexample,ifareporter/photographershowsupatademoorfightpracticeunannounced,thenthechatelaineand/orseneschalofthegroupshouldtalktothem,followingtheguidelinessetforthinthemediapolicyrega
3、rdingimagewewanttoproject,topics/wordstoavoid,etc.Photographersandvideographersshouldalsobeinformedthatanyparticipantmaydeclinetobephotographed.Followingthistypeofcontact,abriefreportshouldbeemailedtotheKingdomMediaOfficerforinformationandpossiblefollowup,ifrequire
4、d.Anincidentreportformislistedbelow.Ifthereisaperiodoftimebetweenwhenthegroupiscontactedandwhenthemediaattendstheevent,thentheKingdomMediaOfficershouldbecontactedinthatinterim.Thatway,theKingdomOfficercanprovidethelocalgroupwithSocietypressmaterialsandrulesforfilmc
5、rews,aswellasmakingprovisionstoattendorappointanappropriatespokespersonfortheevent.2)Ifthegroupwishestocontactthemediaandinvitethemtoanevent,thismustbeapprovedthroughtheKingdomMediaOfficeaheadoftime.ThiswillgivetheKingdomMediaOfficetimetoprovidelocalrepresentatives
6、withtheappropriatepressmaterials,ortoprepareeventspecificmaterialsifrequired,aswellasmakingprovisionstoattendorappointanappropriatespokespersonfortheevent.Forexample,ifagroupisplanninganeventwithaparticularthemeoraspecialfeature(e.g.,authentic16thCenturyTurkishFeas
7、t,Norsepoetrycompetition)thentheMediaOfficecanworkwiththegrouptosendtargetedpressreleasestolocalmedia,andplantoattendtheeventanddistributeinformationwhichwillincludetheappropriatelocalcontactinformation.Inthiscase,nolocalincidentreportwouldneedtobefiledaftertheeven
