2、rdwarerealization,maturityandstabilityofalgorithms,Soithasearnedbroadconcernandbeenusedextensively.Basedontheexistedresearches,thisthesismainlyresearchesthepreprocessingandfeaturesextractingalgorithmsoffingerprints.Inthebeginningofthisthesis,thehistoryandconceptionsineachstepsoftheentirefingerp
3、rintidentificationsystemisintroduced.Themaintasksincludethefollowings:1.Pre-processingoffingerprintimage.Firstly,thecollectedfingerprintimageshavebeennormalizedbythemethod,whichperformexcellently,especiallyondimimage.Andthen,weraiseanewsegmentationalgorithmbasedonstatisticalcharacteristicsoffin
4、gerprintandapplyit.Abouttheenhancement,webringthreeenhancementalgorithms-Gaborfilter,homomorphicfilteranddirectionalfilter.Meanwhile,itisappliedtoenhancefingerprintthatisthecombinationofhomomorphicfilteranddirectionalfilter.Atlast,theadaptivethresholdalgorithmhasbeenusedtobinary,andthemorpholog
5、ytothinbeforecorrespondingpost-processingrespectively.2.Featureextractionoffingerprintimage.Weextractminutiaebytheminutiaedetectiontemplate,andrecognizesingulars(centerandtriangularpoints)usingback-propagationneuralnetworkbasedongrayscalefingerprintimage.Afterallthefeaturesbeingextracted,weuset
