1、新型人工电磁材料的人工手性及非对称传输研究AbstractChiralmetamaterialsthatcannotsuperimposedontotheirmirrorimagesexhibitmanytantalizingelectromagneticpropertiessuchasnegativerefraction,giantopticalactivityandcirculardichroism,andreciprocaldirectional-dependentasymmetrictransmission.Thesechiralme
2、tamaterialshaveattractedlotsofattentionduetotheirflexiblemanipulationofwavepolarizations.Duringthepastseveralyears,manykindsofmetamaterialswithsymmetry-brokenchiralstructureshavebeenusedtomanipulatewavepolarizationandachievemanycustomizedfunctionalitiesanddeviceslikecircula
3、randlinearpolarizers,polarizationrotators,polarizationspectrumfiltersandhandednessswitching.Opticalactivityisoneofthemostdistinguishedpropertiesinartificialchiralmetamaterialsthatwaswidelystudied.Importantly,giantopticalactivitywaseasilyrealizedbyelectromagneticfieldcouplin
4、ginthebilayeredchiralmetamaterial.Formetamateiralssimultaneouslyhavingplanarchirality(2Dchirality)andanisotropy,apreviouslyunknownphenomenon-asymmetrictransmission(AT)wasobserved,whichdoesnotoccursinconventional3Dchiralmetamaterials.Inthisthesis,wemainlyinvestigateasymmetri
5、ctransmissionandmanipulatepolarizationstatesofelectromagneticwavesinchiralmetamaterialstheoreticallyandexperimentally.Themainresearchtopicsandachievementsgainedareasfollows:1.WeproposeakindoflinearpolarizationrotatorconstructedbyusingtwopairsofplanarSRRstructureswithacertai
6、ntwistedangle.Thechiralmetamaterialcanachievestrongopticalactivityoflinearlypolarizedelectromagnetic(EM)waves.Wefindthatthisstructurehasanicetransmissioncoefficientandtransmittedwavepolarizationrotationangleissimilartothestructure’s,whichprovidesawaytodesignlinearpolarizati
7、onrotator.2.Basedonthetheoryoflinearasymmetrytransmission,weproposeadual-bandasymmetricchiralmetamaterialsinopticalfrequencies.Thedesignedchiralmetamaterialstructurehasmanyadvantagesincludingdual-bandasymmetrytransmission.Theresonantfrequenciesofpolarizationconversionscanbe
